Happy halloween everyone!. It's funny how life has changed the past year, this time last year I was out clubbing in Glasgow dressed up as a cat and dancing the night away with my girls drinking a few too any glasses of wine oops.
The first year of your baby's life is full of firsts, from their first smile, first steps and first words, embrace every moment I say and document all the special memories. Baby's first halloween is no exception. Alfie is 12 weeks old so yeah he's still a bit young to be taking out trick-or-treating in his pram plus he isn't old enough to eat sweeties mummy would quite happily of eaten them though IF we had of taken him out but me and his daddy still decided to buy him a halloween costume to wear in the comfort of our warm home, after work Daniel popped to Asda and picked up a pumpkin costume for Alfie, me and his daddy call him our little pumpkin so it was perfect for the occasion
Also me and Daniel carved pumpkins to get into the halloween spirit yesterday, let me tell you it was a first for me so yeah I was sat carving and scooping for what seemed like hours...well it probaly only seemed like hours because when you have a baby you have to do nappy changes and feeds etc any mummies out there will know what it's like.
(Daniel's pumpkin is the one on the left and mine is the one on the right)
Well tonight after all the visits form trick-or-treaters have dyed down and Alfie has fallen asleep me and Daniel will be snuggled on the sofa with a takeaway watching typical halloween movies with the door locked, lights off and candles and pumpkins lit. Yeah we may not be able to go out for fancy dinners or go to the cinema as much as we used to before Alfie came along but when you love someone none of that no longer matters, Alfie really has completed our family and made our love for eachother even stronger I really do feel like the luckiest girl on the planet because to be quite honest life is perfect.
